What is eduroam and how does it work?

eduroam (education roaming) is the secure worldwide roaming access service for the international research and education community.

The service allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting participating institutions.

Further information at the official eduroam website and the official eduroam Spain website.

When you log on to the wireless eduroam network outside Egibide, your user credentials will be sent to Egibide for authentication and authorisation to use the wireless connection of the visited institution.

If you are at one of Egibide’s campuses, the process will be carried out locally.
